Chuck Norris Has been Missing In Action at least 3 times already.......
Ive been ignoring my blog / missing in action for almost a week now, doesnt mean nothing happened during that period. Ask Chuck, im sure hes got lotsa stories to tell while he was missing :D
Well lets see....this weekend i had the oppurtuinity to join my dad for 'dinner' and prayers at the Chief Minister , Sri Taib Mahmud's personal residence/palace/fortress/castle/ whatever.
We were entertained in the 2nd block of the quarters,which my guess is that its sole purpose is used for entertaining guests. Roughly 3 stories high, it has its own prayer area which,in size is comparable to my neighbourhood mosque,if not bigger,and much "grand-er" as well, with marble pillars, gold chandeliers hanging from every ceiling,gold this,gold that...the ground floor was used as the dining area, reminded me of those movies set in medieval times where the King had a feast in the castle. I sat, and observed the surroundings,as meek as a mouse, not being used to such grandure and poshness, much accustomed to the local kopi-tiams and budget buffets :D.
But i have to admit, the coffee he served was nice :D
But my first impression when i entered the palace/castle/fortress/whatever was...."SO THIS IS WHERE ALL THE TAX PAYERS MONEY GOES TO".

No wonder state government always has no money to pay out contracts and such. I would imagine the electricity bill of the residence alone, per month would double,or triple what my family pays for electricity per year.
THE concept of RICH politicians somehow baffles me...arent politicians supposed to give to the people, not vice versa.

Haha...what a waste to pay tax knowing only to 'feed' such grandeur and stature of his "bling-bling" life...yet leaving the people stuck in a mundane.
I didnt know his house has their own prayer room or maybe what you call his own surau? or whatever. doesnt he live near the big Masjid? why waste money on building his own prayer room?
My guess is he watch too much MTV crib.You know very well where does our Tax payments go..hahaha. By the way, doesnt he have his own plane...? He's THAT rich la wey!!

by the way, exactly, how much money DO POLITICIANS GIVE to the ppl? has it reached a 1 million?? or they say its a million when its actually forty thousand IN CASH?
i dont mean 'giving cash out of their pockets' when i said politicians should 'give' to the people...more in the sense of setting up infrastructures, amenities, which leads to job opportuinities and development...and it shouldnt be measured in quantity,but the quality thats spread throughout the ppl.
the rendang n coffee was nice...the rest....so-so...my moms still way nicer tho hahha.
