embrace the new king!!!!

Sometimes im confused, as to what "social and ethnic group" i should actually fall under. I have many friends of many races and religions,i can usually fit in well with any, but not all can accept me for 'what i am'. You see my family has a very colourful, vast and varied cultural background.

My father,is half melanau and half chinese. simple.

My mother on the other hand,is abit more complicated, simply put,predominantly she would fall under the eurasian category of ceylonese, and british and melanau descent.

I, on the other hand (eh, how many hands do i have ah?) am fucked up when ppl ask me what really im mixed with, cos my physical appearance can be considered somewhere along the lines of being malay,chinese,indian and some even say dayak.

By birth right however i would be simply classified as a Melanau..which is coincidentially the ethnic group that Sarawak's current Chief Minister (as seen in previous post) belongs too.

No,please dont ask if were related, im fucking sick of that.

MELANAU

The Melanaus have been thought to be amongst the original settlers of Sarawak. Originally from Mukah (the 10th Administrative Division as launched in March 2002), the Melanaus traditionally lived in tall houses. Nowadays, they have adopted a Malay lifestyle, living in kampong-type settlements. Traditionally, Melanaus were fishermen and till today, they are reputed as some of the finest boat-builders and craftsmen.

While the Melanaus are ethnically different from the Malays, their lifestyles and practices are quite similar especially in the larger towns and cities where most Melanau have adopted the Islamic faith.

The Melanaus were believed to originally worship spirits in a practice brinking on paganism. Today many of them are Christian and Muslim, though they still celebrate traditional animist festivals such as the annual Kaul Festival.

Since our Chief Minister of melanau descent self-proclaims himself to be of Royal Bruneian blood and descendant of the 'Demak Sultanate' entitling him to use the title "Pehin", as of today, i have discovered that im actually descendant of ceylonese,melanau ,chinese and british royalty I shall proclaim myself worthy of the title....

Those who dare question the appointment of my title shall suffer a fate known to many as, Decapitation by guillotine.
