Rolling waves on a vacant shore
Blue skies, bright sun, many birds soar
A warm breeze ruffles the leaves on palm trees
Plays the shells like piano keys and blows the sand off my feet
Deep thoughts of life float in the air
Alone on the beach but at the same time not really there
Morning turns to afternoon, and the afternoon turns to night
By myself with no one in sight
Steps towards the water where the end will begin
Imprints in the sand are left from someone never seen again
A much needed break from my dark depressing verses, this beautiful piece was contributed by fellow blogger Zul, do visit his site here.
It made me wonder, and realize how little things can effect your life in a big way. Life changing events would be the most 'obvious' but the ones that really leaves a lasting imprint and 'define' your character is brought on by people, through inspiration, interaction sometimes subconsciously or even after encountering a stranger.
I was having a conversation with a friend yesterday, and she was suggesting that everything in life is pre-destined, like a written script. I do agree to a certain extent, maybe we ARE destined to have certain outcomes in life, but when and how we achieve it might differ due to events, circumstances and choices. To roughly quote another fellow blogger, "maybe its not about the ending , its about the journey". Cant remember the exact words, but you get the picture eyh..
But how does destiny work anyway? does it negate all possibilities of chance and coincidence, since everything is pre-set. OR is it fully dependent on chance and coincidence, negating the effects of effort and intention? Its confusing, cos either way it could work.
Maybe everything is based on chance? The question is, whether you actually 'see' the chance or otherwise.

thanks for the honorable mention. heh.
the comment section isn't really i should be writing up in this post so i shall let others do it for me.
cheers jay.
i just can't bother to worry so much anymore. just a lot less than usual since it could be pretty much a script with a likely say.. 30% chances of change? hmm!
and good actors are known for improvising on the scripts of good movies. hehe .
btw, youre very welcome Zul, i appreciate you sharing your stuff here.
:D
checkout my new post. i promise to make you chuckle. LOL
nice work Zul...
i'm not really one to hold much faith in fate, in fact both of those words lead me to believe that i have no control over my actions, and if i didn't then why bother with life at all?
i think we can agree that a journey is better from the drivers seat than from the back seat.
exactly seb,of course we must be in control of our own lives, not just letting things pass by. Its said that theres three kinds of people, The ones that make things happen, the ones that wait for thing to happen, and the ones that dont know hwats happening. (haha, some of you might know where i got this from)
but theres somethings, if you noticed, that would happen either way, whether youre in the drivers seat or at the back.
~ HELLo...havent been on here in a while...nice poem!! XD mines somewhere burried in the piles of useless ideas...:) hehe..nice. so whats next? i need muse... ~
"Its said that theres three kinds of people, The ones that make things happen, the ones that wait for thing to happen, and the ones that dont know hwats happening."
i gotta hand it to you for this, sincerely, i never heard of this saying before. anyways changes are inevitable; whether we like it or not or even we're are in charge or just plain following.
there are 3 types of people, those who can count and those who cant.
~ ive heard it before somewhere J...but where? u not on ym? ~
